What is the root to the tree? I know you all know. But answering this question is fundamental for understanding yourself, your own roots and thus - Muladhara. Take my hand and let me guide you into my own interpretation of what this vibration is..
It is the connection with Earth, it is the source of energy, it is the basis. The root provides the highway for growth, yet not the growth itself. The foundation, not the structure. It brings stability, security and confidence in who we are, what we are and what we stand for. Our root chakra is the genesis of our being into the physical realm. It is connected with prosperity, well-being and physical abundance. Money, Safety, Shelter are the three mantras of the root chakra. In a world where a virus is threatening all three mantras, where everything is changing in a fast-forward mode, the root chakra is THE HOT topic of the day. Because it is being challenged, it is being threatened and most tapped on - both physically and vibrationally. Anybody can relate to this chakra. Anybody can relate to this canvas.
The woman you see on the painting is quite successful. She is here and now, up and running, connected with the root. She has a prosperous career, a cozy home, a nice car, a god-paying job, her kids are well-dressed and well-educated, she has food on her table and money in her bank account. She kind of… got it all figured out.
Or at least she thinks she is.
Or at least some part in her taught she did.. Until that very moment. When something is happening with her life. Something big. Life changing. Face spliting.
This is why she now has two faces. Like Yin & Yang, like the Day and the Night. Her bright side, under the light of the projectors, shining bright to inspire the future generations with her success and her legacy. The magazine covers, the work appointments she is attending, the travelling.. all shining bright. And the other side - the part which is deep and sacral and intimate. The part within her which knows that there are so many more levels of her own existence, so much depth which still remains undiscovered. But she feels it, she knows it is there. Like the back side of the Moon - you dont need to see it, to know it is there. So her dark side is provoking her to be more sensitive, to trust her intuition and to dive deep into her own inner universe. Her dark side is actually pushing her to grow, to explore, to be more humble and accepting, versus controlling and demanding as she is in her daytime. Those two sides, forming two women, both living inside her. They change roles, they switch parts like day and night. And they intertwine.
Her shadow is the prolongation of her dark side during the day. And this woman is on the quest of embrassing, accepting and integrating her dark side. This shadow, I call “the dark whisperer”. You can see it as the dark hummingbird singing into her ear the words of wisdom that the root chakra is channeling into her life. The bridge that the shadow creates between those two halfs of her face, closes the gap and creates a circular flow of energy, of color and of vibration on the canvas. It creates the feeling of a never ending flow and journey. More of a flight actually… very similar to the birds surrounding her.
Nothing actually belongs to us. We are simply channels. And we are always on the search for our inner balance and we all have our demons.
But it all starts from the root. And the river flows back to its source and everything starts from the begining.
