Heart Chakra

Love. Love for the others but also for yourself. Trust. Trust others but also trust yourself. Falling in love. With the butterflies in your stomach. How deep are we actually able to experience those feelings? If you are hurt - can you forgive? But really? Can you love again? Or maybe pain changes all of us at the end. This artwork is devoted to all the women with big hearts, who are not changed by the pain. Who keep the sparkle in their eyes despite the heartbreak. Who keep their souls and hands open despite the betrayal. Who keep their butterflies alive despite the undoing. As an artist, I perceive this ability to be quite inspiring and I consider this as one of the greatest human strenghts. To keep your passion about life and people burning although you were hurt many times by them. 

The woman you see on this canvas, has her hands and chest open, her curiosity and vitality are luminous. She is pure, she is sensual, she is empathic, she is compassionate, but she is also very smart. She learned her lessons thoughout her experience. She was down many times, but she was strong enough to stand up. And stand up for herself. Many times her boundaries were not respected, but she kept on asserting them. In all this, she remained true to herself. She is not holding any grudges, yet she is not naive. You will never know exactly what she has in mind and what is she holding behind her back. What could her secret weapon be? Could it be her samurai sword?

We might never know. But we can still fly in her universe of unconditional love. The love that makes the bridge between the earth and spirit. If you think about it - the heart chakra is right there in the middle - between the lower three and the upper three chakras. So everything we are able to pull down  into our material world and transform in reality, is coming from our imagination, intuition and higher being, but also passing through the heart - the universal converter that dances rhythmically throughout our entire life.
